This is a simple warning to those who neglect small things. In our life’s journey, basic precautions are necessary. What usually endangers our lives is often in small matters. Small quantities of this and that, little indulgences here and there. Slowly our ship drifts away, inch by inch. A little hole can sink a large ship.
Lord, let me be aware of my small insignificant faults. I often do not see them and when they are pointed out to me I refuse to see them. I become defensive and dismiss them as exaggeration or badly motivated. But I thank you for these gentle reminders. Let me not resist.
