Charity Covers A Multitude Of Sins.
The reality of sin is a permanent condition of a pilgrim people. But where sin abounds so do also the mercy and compassion of God. That is why in the present dispensation of grace, charity or good works may cover a multitude of sins, especially where normal means of reconciliation are not open or available. The principle used to justify the condonation of the unpayable debts of the Third World countries applies to people with insoluble problems. To them, charity must be sufficient to cover their multitude of sins.
Lord, many people have insoluble problems known only to you. May their good works make up for their sins, for you love is greater and stronger than all of them.
